According to the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council, “Nuts are best stored out of direct light and heat therefore, it is essential to find a cool, dark place to store them.” So in the pantry is a great start. An airtight container also helps.
But out best tip is to keep hazelnuts in the fridge or the freezer. This helps them to maintain maximum freshness – they can stay in top condition in a resealable bag or container in the freezer for up to 12 months.
