Trufficulture and Hazelnut Nursery Propagators will be presenting two one day seminars ad farm walks. Two Venues and two dates; Saturday 18 May at Myrtleford DPI The Myrtleford porgrma will cover growing hazelnuts as a viable horticultural enterprise as well as growing truffles in the Ovens Valley. Guest speakers will include BruceWest from HNP who is a pioneer in the hazelnut industry. Other presenters are Colin Carter (now operator of HNP) and Nathan Carter of Trufficulture discussing truffle production as well as Noel Fitzpatrick from Truffle Harvest. Saturday 25 May at Moyston (near Ararat) The Moyston program will be held in conjunction with Peter and Caron Fraser who have a hazelnut grove at Moyston. Presentation on hazelnut crop production by Colin and Nathan Carter will be in Moyston Hall and then a farm walk at the Fraser property will follow.
